Senior EMG Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior EMG Assistant.
In this role, the successful candidate will perform or assist in the performance of nerve conduction velocity (NCV) and electromyography (EMG) tests, as directed by the Assistant Director of Neurodiagnostics.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patient for testing; gather and set up equipment and supplies according to established departmental procedures
Calibrates equipment prior to procedure, ensuring its proper functioning for procedure. Interacts with patients by identifying self to patient and verifies identity of patient by checking patient indentifiers. Prepares patient using proper departmental criteria and techniques
Generate electrical impulse to stimulate motor response
Provide education to students, fellows and residents
Train and onboard new EMG Assistants
Make recommendations for improvements in scheduling and use of supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
R.NCS.T certification through AAET; Reg Nerve Condctn Technologist, Reg Nerve Condctn Technologist
High School Graduate
Ability to operate EP & EMG equipment
Bachelors of Science Degree and two to three years previous experience in clinical neurophysiology laboratory preferred
