Nerve Conduction Study Technician (NCS/NCV tech)

This is a private practice neurology clinic with 1 physician and 2 physician extenders. We are looking for a proficient NCS technologist/technician with dedication and clinical acumen. 40 hours per week; BCBS and dental insurance; 401k with contribution from employer - Performs NCS and related studies as requested by physician and nurse practitioners, under supervision of the physician. - Reviews patient records and interviews patients to help plan each NCS - Prepares room for patients - Prepares the patient for examination, explains the procedure, and exhibits empathy for and comfort to the patient throughout all test phases. - Analyzes test data to ensure appropriate data is collected. - Calculates documents and reviews test results accurately and efficiently. - Reports test results to physician. - Maintains equipment, ensures room is clean. - Maintains exam rooms, testing equipment, and electrodiagnostic supplies. - Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs minor repairs. - Places orders for replacement electrodes and EMG needles and other electrodiagnostic room supplies. - Performs miscellaneous departmental and clerical duties, as assigned. - Interest in being trained to be an EEG technician. - Communication and computer skills are essential. - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology on neurological symptoms and disorders Please submit your resume to Diane Counce, MD at dcounce@councemd.com.
