NCS Technician

NCS Technician - Neurology Clinic Full-Time, Days The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute is looking for a team-oriented and collaborative Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) Technician for our Neurology Clinic in Boise! About the Position: In this position you will work beside a seasoned and experienced EMG Technician and will hold dual roles as an EMG Technician and also as a Medical Assistant to support one of the Neurology providers. In this position you will work in the clinic and also in the hospital depending on patients' needs. This position will typically work Mondays – Fridays, 8:30am – 5:00pm, flexibility is needed, but no weekend work is required. As the NCS Technician you will work with state of the art equipment to perform nerve conduction studies and EMG procedures, assist the neurologists in the EMG room with patients and nerve conduction velocity exams. You will also monitor the effectiveness of all testing procedures as ordered by the physician, and adapt methods of recording instrumentation to obtain optimal results based on patient history, clinical observations, and test findings. The NCS Technician will also assist the in-patient Neurologist with NCS/EMG testing. About the Neurology Clinic: As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease. The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of general neurosurgeons, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists physiatrists, neuro-opthalmologists and oncologists. RNCST (Registered Nerve Conduction Studies Technician with American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists) required – if registry not currently held, employee must be registered within one year as condition of continued employment. Basic Life Support certification required.
