After serving in the Marine Corps, Mason began his neurodiagnostic career in 2012 with on-the-job training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He earned his R.NCS.T. and CNCT credentials in 2020 and has worked for several major Texas medical systems. He works as an independent contractor in neurodiagnostic and consulting roles and is an adjunct instructor at Alvin Community College. He is a current member of the examination and recertification committees and has a passion for training and advancing technologists practical skills. His hobbies include motorcycle riding, carpentry, and spending time with his wife, 6-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter (all of whom have been taught to perform NCS).

Jennifer’s career in electrodiagnostics began in Northeast Ohio in 2012 at a physiatry practice. She became a registered technologist with AAET in April 2014. Following a move to Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2015, Jennifer joined Novant Health at the Neurology Specialty office. There, she expanded her expertise to include EEG and further developed her NCV testing protocols.

Jennifer is currently a Field Application Specialist at Cadwell Laboratories. In this role, she travels to clinics and hospitals, primarily in the Southeast, to build NCS/EMG/NMUS and EEG systems and trains technologists and physicians on the equipment as well as programming the software to fit each site’s needs. She has had the opportunity to meet many technologists across the country during both installations and at conferences and workshops. She loves to educate on all things Neurology, particularly proper technique, and encourages more techs to pursue registration with AAET.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, birdwatching, and gardening. She loves to travel and explore America’s national parks and enjoys spending time with her husband and their two daughters and son. When home, she enjoys caring for her plants and adding new species to her collection. As a lifelong animal lover she has had just about every pet you can imagine, but currently she has a boxer named Harper and four cats.

Melissa Mayberry has been the Treasurer of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET) since 2018.

Melissa’s journey in neurodiagnostics began at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO, back in 2000. Since then, she’s had an impressive career, performing EEGs, EPs, NCVs, ENGs, and IOM cases. Her neurodiagnostic training under the guidance of Larry Head and her EMG/NCV training with Jerry Morris, R.NCT.T, laid a strong foundation for her expertise.

In 2008, Melissa embraced the role of a traveler for Aureus, extending her contract with Greenville Memorial Healthcare in South Carolina. She ultimately accepted a full-time position there, focusing on NCS for both pediatric and adult patients under a physician’s direction. Melissa had been a traveler for 7 years, where she was exposed to multiple cases in neurodiagnostic field, from geriatric to neonate patients from different geographic areas.

By 2014, Melissa had joined the University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, MO, where she predominantly performed NCVs and played a significant role in teaching nerve conduction to rotating residents and students. Her dedication and expertise were further recognized when she passed the R.NCS.T exam in 2015.

In 2018, Melissa accepted a position as Lead Neurodiagnostic Technologist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, where she takes on the role of leadership, still educating the employees that she works with.

With 25 years of experience in neurodiagnostics, Melissa is eager to contribute to the field as part of the AAET Board of Directors. Tammy graduated from the Electroneurodiagnostic Technology program at Western Technical College in 1993. She has worked at Froedtert Hospital in Wisconsin and MU Healthcare in Missouri where she is currently supervisor over EEG, EMG and Epilepsy monitoring. She has experience in EEG, EP, NCS, IOM, LTM and Epilepsy surgery. She has been involved with distance learning in NDT and examined for EEG and EP boards. She enjoys learning and teaching new techs.

Tara began her career in neurodiagnostics at Dent Neurologic Institute in Buffalo, New York in 2014. Starting as a medical assistant in the neuromuscular clinic, she quickly developed an interest in electrodiagnostic testing and transitioned into nerve conduction studies. Her dedication and skills led her to earn her credential as a Registered Nerve Conduction Technologist through the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET) in 2019.

Today, Tara serves as the Neurodiagnostic Manager at Dent, where she leads the EMG, EEG, and Sleep Labs across multiple sites. In this role, she oversees a large multidisciplinary team, helps manage national accreditations, and plays a key role in improving lab efficiency and patient care. Tara is especially passionate about professional development and takes pride in mentoring and training the next generation of technologists.

Outside the lab, Tara lives in the Buffalo area with her husband and their dog, Kylo. She loves cheering on the Buffalo Bills, and spending weekends exploring new breweries and restaurants. She’s also an avid traveler, with favorite destinations including Portland, Maine, and Conesus Lake—places that combine her love of the outdoors, good food, and time with loved ones.
