| The A.A.E.T. originated in San Francisco, California,
in 1974, and was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization in
1985. Its continued quality existence has been enhanced by the now A.A.E.M.
(The American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine) and through the
support of the physician organization, we have been able to establish an
examination committee, and to provide the only recognized national certification
examination. This certification examination and its recognized credibility
by the practicing Electrodiagnostic consultant, guarantees to the employer
that the technologist so hired, is a certifiably knowledgable, competent,
and qualified professional in the field of nerve conduction studies, as
part of electroneurodiagnostic technology. |
| The membership concurs with the current Guidelines
of the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and agrees by
virtue of this membership to compliance with these standards. |

origin. |

illegally or unethically practice. |

of the results of nerve conduction studies is the domain of the electrodiagnostic
consultant (MD, DO, or other physician so approved as skilled in electrodiagnostic
medicine) |
